As a senior in high school in 2001, the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania profoundly impacted my view of the world. When I became a teacher years later, I would put my social studies curriculum on hold and devote an entire class to the events of September 11, 2001.  Every year was a little different. Some lessons focused heavily on the primary source footage of that tragic day, while others looked at stories from those that lived through the events.

I've put together this collection of videos and resources to help teachers talk about September 11th with their students.

The StoryCorps animated the stories of three people who were forever changed on the 11th of September.
